Welcome to katsusurf.com This site is dedicated to all those around the world who love to surf whether young, old, male, female, longboarder, shortboarder, kneeboarder, body boarder or body surfer. I was born in Kamakura, Japan, and from the time I was very small I loved the ocean and spent many hours at the beach. I started surfing in the 60's at my homebreak of Inamura which was pretty much right in front of my house. I don't know how many times my mother tried to save my butt from the teachers who wanted to kick me out of school because I was always skipping class to surf. (Thanks Mom!) As soon as I graduated from high school I started to travel. My first stop and the place I still consider home is the Western Pacific Island of Guahan. The ocean on Guahan is beautiful and you can live a quiet island life not too far from Japan. I've surfed all over the Pacific (from Mexico to Guahan), Asia (Indonesia to Vietnam) and Brazil. Places I'd still like to visit and surf include South Africa and France. My philosophy of surf is to always keep the wave in my soul and my philosophy of life is to live in peace with my fellow humans and animal friends. |
